To twist the bark to make string a lot faster, wear a pair of genes of a heavy fabric and lift a leg and rub your palm down your thigh with the bark strip between your thigh and hand. The strip of bark should twist as it travels under your hand. Do the two cords separately, hold the two twisted lengths of bark in one hand and let the cord twist itself. Much quicker. The Aboriginals made string fron long thin grass leaf in this way. Your head isn,t round, your front, back axis should be 1/2in longer than the side to side axis.

ok flat bottom baskets...you don't cut anything....those branches just keep going up when you make them by hand, yes the ones not made by hand are made that way to assemble easier. and it's the same with the hat, your branches were way to short to weave

I love the woven patches! My go-to mending stich is the invisible stich/the ladder stich. I pretty much use it on everything! It looks great, but I want to start mending more decorativley. Great video❤

I think the bark is what they used to make an extremely bitter aspirin. The native Americans taught them that although they probably had Willows and England by that time.

I read somewhere that the summer Willowbark comes off and the winter Willowbark stays on and then if you want to keep things fresh put the willow in a bucket with some water in it the whole time you’re working so that they don’t get hard and brittle

This is one of the coolest ways to experiment before cutting your hair off!
